What is Typpo?

Typpo turns voice, audio, or text into a finished, animated video. Pick a style, then speak it, upload it, or paste it. Typpo transcribes, animates the captions and graphics, and hands you a full timeline to tweak before you export.

Is Typpo free?

Yes. Typpo is free to download, and you can record, caption, and export videos without paying a cent.

A Premium subscription unlocks the pro layer: the timeline editor, custom export sizes, Template Studio, image overlays and more. The AI tools run on credits, and the watermark and the end tag can be switched off for free.

What are credits, and what uses them?

Credits cover the AI-powered tools only: the AI Genie, prompt-to-animation, 3D product shots, and AI template generation. Everything else runs on the free tier or your subscription.

Premium includes a credit grant every month, and you can top up with a credit pack in the app any time.

Do I have to talk to it?

No. There are three ways in:

1. Voice. Talk to your camera and watch captions and graphics animate in real time.
2. Audio import. Drop in a podcast, song, or voice note and Typpo transcribes and animates it.
3. Script. Paste or type your text and pick from 50+ human-sounding voices.

You can also run your own recording through voice changing and come out as any of those 50+ voices.

Does Typpo work in different languages?

Yes. Typpo transcribes in whatever language your iPhone is set to, and it’ll flag it when it hears you speaking a different one. To switch, open Settings → change language and pick a language in iOS Settings.

The app itself is available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).

Can I use my own photos and videos?

Yes. Pull photos and video in from your library, drop in GIFs and stickers from Giphy, and use one-tap background removal to get a clean cut-out from any of them.

How do I export in 16:9, 1:1, or another size?

Design for any aspect ratio you like and save your own custom presets, so one project can go out to TikTok, Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn and anywhere else at the right size. Custom export sizes are a Premium feature.

How do I fix a word Typpo got wrong?

Tap the word. You’ll get options to edit the text, adjust its timing, split it, or add an effect to just that word.

How do I remove the watermark and the animation at the end?

1. Open Settings in the app.
2. Turn on “disable watermark”.
3. Turn on “disable end tag”.

No subscription required. It’s free.

Can I build my own templates?

Yes. Template Studio lets you build one from scratch: scenes, animations, fonts, colors, gradients, timing. Or take any existing template, change its colors, fonts and size, and save it to reuse on every video after that. Template Studio is a Premium feature.

Can Typpo create a design template for my brand?

Yes. Build your look once with your colors, fonts and logo and reuse it on every video. If you’d rather design in Figma, the Typpo Figma plugin exports your design straight into the app.
